Requirements

  • They were Born in the UK
  • They were not British Citizens at birth because at the time neither parent was a British Citizen or Settled
  • While they are minors either of the parents has since become a British Citizen, or settled in the UK
  • They have lived in the UK for 10 years since the date of birth
  • They are under the age of 18 on the date the application is received by the Home Office
  • They are of good character if over the age of 10

Evidence

  • Signed referee pages with passport photos
  • Signed parents consent form
  • If parent is settled, parents biometric residence permit
  • If parent has been granted citizenship, the parents citizenship certificate
  • Birth Certificate for applicant
  • Applicant’s passport
  • Copy of applicants parents passports
  • Correspondence in relation to applicant
  • Correspondence to parent as proof of residency
  • Parent’s employment information
  • Parents Marriage certificate
  • Evidence of children’s schooling
